Suspension of long-inactive Yahoo! JAPAN IDs (request for regular sign-ins)

Summary

Yahoo! JAPAN has implemented measures to suspend the Yahoo! JAPAN IDs that haven't been used for a long time to prevent unauthorized access.
Check the following Yahoo! JAPAN Security Center article for more details. (available only in Japanese)
長期間ご利用がないYahoo! JAPAN IDの利用を停止します。(We will suspend the Yahoo! JAPAN IDs that haven't been used for a long time.)

If you are using Yahoo! JAPAN Ads API (API) with a Yahoo! JAPAN ID that has been linked to your ID, your refresh token and access token will be removed when your Yahoo! JAPAN ID is suspended, and you will no longer be able to use the API.
To avoid a case where the API becomes unavailable, note the following points before using the API.

  • Check the Yahoo! JAPAN ID used for API authorization and authentication
  • Sign in periodically with the Yahoo! JAPAN ID used for API authorization and authentication.

*Even after the ID linkage, some customers use one-time passcodes to sign in to API consoles and other applications.
In this case, you are not signed in with your Yahoo! JAPAN ID, so you will likely be suspended.

If your Yahoo! JAPAN ID is suspended

If your Yahoo! Japan ID has been suspended and you are no longer able to use the API, you can resume using the following steps.

  • 1. Prepare a Yahoo! JAPAN ID that you can sign in.
