Display Ads (Auction) Schedule for end of creating new audience list (rule) and end of offering

Updates

  • August 31, 2023: All audience list (rule) were deleted on August 30, 2023.

  • August 24, 2023: We made the following actions on August 23.
    ・The "audience list (rule) migration feature" closed
    ・The not-migrated rule lists unavailable for ad delivery

  • July 19, 2023: Modifying rule lists became unavailable on July 18, 2023.
    Some schedules of the end of the audience list (rule) have finalized updates.
    ・The "audience list (rule) migration feature" closes, and not-migrated rule lists become unavailable for ad delivery: August 23, 2023
    ・Delete all rule lists: August 30, 2023

  • July 6, 2023: Automatic migration by system has completed on July 5, 2023.

  • June 28, 2023: We made the following updates.
    ・Creating new audience list (rule) ended.
    ・You can get past results from the performance reports after the rule lists are removed.
    We have updated information on rule lists that can't be migrated manually or automatically. See the "Comments."

  • June 14, 2023: Some schedules of the end of the audience list (rule) have updates.

■Summary
As we previously announced in "[Display Ads (Auction)] End of audience list (rule) and migration," creating new audience list (rule) (hereinafter referred to as the "rule list") has ended.
After the closing date, select one of the following list types when you create an audience list to accumulate website visitors or app users.

  • Website visitors

  • App users

Schedule for the end of the offering

The schedule for the end of the rule list is as follows.

  • June 27, 2023: End of creating new rule lists

  • July 3-5, 2023: Automatic migration by system
    Our system has migrated rule lists that you haven't migrated.
    Download the document in "End of audience list (rule) and migration" for details.

  • July 18, 2023: Modifying rule lists became unavailable.
    You are no longer able to change rule lists in the Campaign Management Tool and Campaign Editor.

  • August 23, 2023: The audience list (rule) migration feature offered in the Campaign Management Tool closed.
  • August 23, 2023: Not-migrated rule lists became unavailable for ad delivery.
    For the rule list that can't be migrated or isn't migrated manually, data accumulation stopped, and stored data was deleted so the status became inactive for delivery.
    If a rule list that becomes unavailable for delivery is left as an exclusion target, the accumulated data in the rule list will be zero, and ads may be delivered to unintended users. Note that if your rule list is unavailable for delivery and this event occurs, it is not considered a delivery error caused by our company.

  • August 30, 2023: All rule lists were removed.
    After the rule list is deleted, you will not be able to refer to the rule list in the Campaign Management Tool, etc. Past performance results for the removed rule list can still be obtained in the performance report after the deletion.
    *We previously announced that past results will be unavailable on reports, but we have updated the information on June 28, 2023.

  • June 27, 2023: In the add operation of AudienceListService, you will not be able to create a new rule list.
  • July 18, 2023: In the set operation of AudienceListService, you can no longer edit the rule list.

Remarks

  • (Updated: June 28, 2023) Rule list that accumulates both "Website visitors" and "App users" can't be migrated manually or automatically. If you are using a list that can't be migrated, you need to create or replace with a new list by July 17, 2023. Check pages 20-22 "Migration of the list type "rule" that will stop" in the document.
