We have determined the schedule as follows.

  • May 25, 2026
    Stop adding images that do not meet the new minimum pixel sizes.
  • July 22, 2026
    Stop delivering ads that use images that do not meet the new minimum pixel sizes.
    *This date is subject to change.

Summary

We will increase the minimum and recommended pixel sizes for some images that will be available for Display Ads. This change enhances the ad image quality as devices such as smartphones increase in resolution.

The following images are subject to change. Pixel sizes represent width x height.

Actions after the size changes

We will take the following actions for images that do not meet the new minimum pixel size.
If an ad currently uses these images, consider replacing them with images that meet the recommended pixel sizes.

  • May 25, 2026
    We will stop the following actions for images that do not meet the new minimum pixel size.
    • Adding new images
    • Creating new ads using the affected images
    • Specifying the affected images in existing ads (image replacement)
      After the scheduled date, these images will not be available for creating or modifying ads.
  • July 22, 2026
    We will stop delivering ads that use images not meeting the new minimum pixel size.
