Summary

We added a new option, "audience range," to the "advanced segments" in the audience list, which allows you to control the expansion range for your target audience.

Audience range

  • Wide: the ads are delivered to a broader audience by expanding the range of users based on the search keywords.
  • Narrow: the ads are delivered to users with search behaviors more closely related to your keywords.

  • request
    • When: add, set
      Add audienceRange to advancedSegmentsAudienceList.
  • response
    • When: get, add, set, remove
      Add audienceRange to advancedSegmentsAudienceList.

*In versions prior to v17, the audienceRange field is not added to the request/response items, but when added, a setting equivalent to "audienceRange: WIDE" is applied.

Comments

  • By default, the "Audience range" is set to "Wide."
    If you would like to continue the previous delivery trend, use it without changing the settings. If you would like to limit the audience range, select "Narrow" and check delivery trends.
  • The "Estimated user size" that appears when you specify a keyword is for reference only. The same value will appear regardless of the "Audience range" setting.
