Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads started offering new audience lists and end offering audience lists (custom). Details are as follows.

Overview

We have released the new "Audience list (Yahoo! JAPAN Audience Discovery)."
With the discontinuation of the audience list (custom), the audience list (custom) will be automatically migrated to a new list or audience list (customer data).
The automatic migration flow from the start of offering new lists is as follows.

・December 14, 2022 (Wed)
 We have released the new "Audience list (Yahoo! JAPAN Audience Discovery)."
 Creating a new audience list (custom) became unavailable on the same day.
 Browsing, editing, deleting the existing list and uploading additional data to the list are still available.

・Schedule: to be decided
 *We will inform you of the date as soon as decided.
 The existing audience lists (custom) will be migrated to the audience list (Yahoo! JAPAN Audience Discovery) or the audience list (customer data).
  The migration is performed automatically by Yahoo! JAPAN Ads system. You don't need the manual migration that we informed previously.
 Note that the automatically migrated audience list (custom) will change its list type, but you don't need to change the settings. The list can be used continuously.

■Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads (Auction and Guaranteed)
 After April 1, 2023 (tentative), audience lists (custom) will no longer be available for new use in Display Advertising (Reserved) Special Products.
 After the target date, please use the audience list (Yahoo! Audience Discovery).

Changes on Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads API

・From December 14, 2022, on API v8 and v9, the new list "audience list (Yahoo! JAPAN Audience Discovery)" returns audienceListType:"UNKNOWN".
 You are able to continue using audienceListType for the delivery settings and others, but some features such as referencing the settings on Yahoo! JAPAN Audience Discovery became unavailable.

・On API v10 scheduled in February 2023, the new audience list (Yahoo! JAPAN Audience Discovery) will be available as audienceListType: "YAHOO_JAPAN_AUDIENCE_DISCOVERY".

・After April 3, 2023, audienceListType: "CUSTOM_AUDIENCE" will not be able to be specified when creating a new list (add) on all versions. Therefore, if you are currently using "CUSTOM_AUDIENCE" for uploading customer data when creating a new list (add), modify the specification to "CUSTOMER_DATA" in advance.
 "CUSTOM_AUDIENCE list ID" for file upload (uploadUserList) can be specified.
