1. Product:

Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Search Ads

2. Date:

October 7, 2022 (Fri) - March 31, 2023 (Fri)

3. Overview:

Ad delivery specification changes when ad display options are associated with both campaigns and ad groups.
Details are as follows.

[Ad display option]
-QuickLinks
-Callouts
-Category Text

[Changes]
-Before
Priority delivery of ad display options associated with ad groups

-After
Prioritize ad display options to better match the user's search intent, regardless of the associated hierarchy.
The ad display options associated with the ad group and the upper-level campaign are combined and used for delivery.
For example, when you want to deliver the QuickLink option to devices other than smartphones, you need at least two associated options, but when you have one association in the ad group and one in the upper-level campaign, the total number of associations after the change will be two, so you can deliver to devices other than smartphones.
*When the ad display option IDs are the same, the ad display option will be counted as one even if the ad display option is associated with both an ad group and an upper-level campaign.

4. Notes:

・Make sure that any ad display options you associate with your campaign will be safely delivered to any ad group under your campaign.
・Check the following reports for the results of the ad display options.
  Ad display option report (campaign)
Ad display option report (ad group)

5. Remarks:

There is no change in the ad delivery priority of the call extensions.
When call extensions are associated with both a campaign and an ad group, the call extensions associated with the ad group will deliver first.
