Changes to the Number of Wards and Ward Names
This change had the following impacts when you set up target locations that include these administrative districts.
*When you don't select these locations, you won't be affected.
On the day of change
The following situations may arise.
- Ad delivery:
Your ads may not be delivered to these locations. - Display Ads (Guaranteed):
You may not be able to simulate and reserve packages to these locations that day and next. - Tools:
You may receive errors with actions for location targeting and ad groups.
If an error occurs, wait a while and try again.
After the change
- Ad delivery:
If you had targeted the previous ward before this change, the ad delivery area may expand depending on the previous settings. Check your settings and make changes as necessary.
Example: When you set up to deliver ads in the Hamakita ward before the change, your ads will be delivered to the Hamana ward (Kita and Hamakita wards) after the effective date. - Campaign Management Tool and Campaign Editor:
- The targeting list will have new ward names so that the results of the previous wards won't appear. To check them, view the performance reports.
- Use new ward names when setting up locations in import files. If you import previous ward names, you will receive an error.
- Download the latest data before using the Campaign Editor after the change date.
- Display Ads API:
To target Hamamatsu City for ad delivery, take the following actions:- Update the location master data by running DictionaryService/getGeographicLocation.
- Update the targeting information by running AdGroupTargetService/get.
