Summary

We changed the audience list targeting of Display Ads as follows.

  • Added categories to shared audience lists
    We added categories to the affinity, in-market, and attributes, life events. Download the following document for details.
        *We changed some categories from the last announcement. You can check the final added categories in the following document and in the settings view of the Campaign Management Tool.

  • "Exclude" is available for shared audience lists
    Only "allow" was available for audience list targeting using shared audience lists. By applying the "exclude," you will be able to target more accurately.

Notes

  • With the addition of new categories, the ad delivery trend some existing categories may change. Refer the following image.

    Impact on existing categories
  • Together with this change, we improved targeting accuracy. Because of this, other than the added categories may have a change in ad delivery trends.

If you are using the shared audience list, check the performance reports and other information after the release date and consider changing the specifications if necessary.

Impacts on Yahoo! JAPAN Ads API

This change will be applied on all available API versions of Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads API.
