Sign-in method for Yahoo! JAPAN Ads will change

Dear customers,

Thank you for using Yahoo! JAPAN Ads.
The sign-in method for Yahoo! JAPAN Ads will change. You will need to link your Yahoo! JAPAN Business ID with Yahoo! JAPAN ID.

*All tools available for Yahoo! JAPAN Ads are subject to change.

3. Schedule:
・September 8, 2022 (Thu)
　Sign-in using Yahoo! JAPAN ID will become mandatory when signing up for Yahoo! JAPAN Ads
・March8, 2023 (Wed)
　Sign-in using Yahoo! JAPAN Business ID ends
*These dates are subject to change.

4. Summary:
We will change the sign-in method for Yahoo! JAPAN Ads to strengthen our security.

Before
Sign in with Yahoo! JAPAN Business ID (Business ID) and password.
After
Link Business ID and Yahoo! JAPAN ID (ID), then sign in.

The ID linkage was only available on the Japanese sign-in page. Linking your ID will provide you with more security when using Yahoo! JAPAN Ads.

You can link Yahoo! JAPAN ID you are using or a new one.

5. Notes:
If you don't have a mobile phone in Japan, you won't be able to create Yahoo! JAPAN ID for now.
After September 8 (as planned), you will be able to create Yahoo! JAPAN ID using your email address. Wait for further announcements.

6. Impacts on Yahoo! JAPAN Ads API：
The sign-in to Yahoo! JAPAN Ads API Management Console and other services that use Yahoo! JAPAN Ads API will require the ID linkage. No engineering resources are required.
Current API users can continue using refresh tokens after March 8, 2023.

The ID linkage will be required for Yahoo! JAPAN Ads API services and engineers in the following cases:
　・After September 8, 2022
　　Sign-up for Yahoo! JAPAN Ads API
　・After March 8, 2023
　　Sign-in for Yahoo! JAPAN Ads API Management Console

The ID linkage will be required for users of Yahoo! JAPAN Ads API services and tools in the following cases after March 8, 2023:
-Check approved applications
-Revoke approval
All approvals will be revoked if you remove the linkage with your Yahoo! JAPAN ID. Approve the services and tools using Yahoo! JAPAN Ads API again.
