Reminder: Search Ads Keyword match type change

Thank you for using Yahoo! JAPAN Ads.

The release schedule for the integration that was previously announced
in "Search Ads Keyword match type change (Document Number: APIE-FY21-2118)"
has been determined. Please see the following details.

1. Product:
 Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Search Ads

2. Schedule:
 June to July 2021

 *Schedule may change without prior notice.

3. Overview:
 "Modified Broad Match" of the match type on Search Ads will become
 out of service, and it will be integrated to "Phrase Match."
 Keywords with the match type Modified Broad Match will be delivered
 as Phrase Match keyword after the integration.
 
 We will expand the behavior of Phrase Match and remove the
 restrictions by word order of keywords.
 This change will provide flexible ad delivery for the search query.
 
 In addition to reducing the operation cost by integrating match types,
 it can be expected to improve advertising effectiveness by expanding
 Phrase Match.
 Please consider to use this new feature.

4. Steps for integration:
 There are some steps planned for the match type integration.
 The schedules of each step are as follows.
 *Schedule may change without prior notice.

 ・Starts in June and to be completed in July 2021
  Start the change that switches the behavior of Modified Broad Match
  keyword to the behavior of Phrase Match keyword.
  *Changes will be made in sequence.
  *We cannot answer when the keywords of individual accounts will change.
  *Keywords of Modified Broad Match added after this change will behave
  as keywords of Phrase Match.

 ・July 2021
  Creating new keywords of Modified Broad Match will become unavailable.

5. Remarks:
 ・Even after integration into phrase match, there will be no change
  in the display of modified broad match keywords on the Campaign
  Management Tool, Campaign Editor, and Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Search Ads API.
  *Modified broad mach keywords will be displayed as follows.
   -Match type is "Broad Match"
  *"BROAD" (broad match) on API
   -"+" (plus symbol) is added before the keyword

 ・When the same keyword is set for modified broad match and phrase
  match, the ad performance for each keyword may disperse because the
  keywords are duplicated due to the integration into Phrase Match.
  Check your keywords and consider organizing the keywords as necessary.
  We recommend using Phrase Match for creating new keywords.
