Summary

In the Campaign Management Tool for Display Ads, a new Store visit tracking (*) feature has been added. With this enhancement, advertisers can configure Store visit tracking settings and obtain reports directly within the Campaign Management Tool.
After the Schedule, customers who have Display Ads accounts and meet the usage requirements--such as owning physical stores eligible for store visit determination--will be able to use Store visit tracking through the Campaign Management Tool.

*What is Store Visit Measurement?
This feature measures the advertising effectiveness of users who visit physical stores by utilizing location data from LY Ads and store visit measurement services provided by SoftBank. Please refer to the following pages for an overview of the feature.

Store Visit Measurement offers two measurement methods: the "Yahoo Method" and the "SoftBank Method." Each method has different usage requirements and configurable settings within the Ad Management Tool. For details, please refer to this document.

Details of the Feature Enhancements

The main feature enhancements in the Ad Management Tool are as follows:

  • Providing the campaign objective "Store Visit Promotion" for all Display Ads accounts
  • Adding the following conversion types as Store Visit Measurement conversion settings:
    • Store Visit Measurement (Yahoo Method)
    • Store Visit Measurement (SoftBank Method)
  • Adding performance reports related to Store Visit Measurement (preset report items)
  • Adding application screens for stores, chains, and business categories for the "Yahoo Method"

Notes

  • After the implementation date, new applications for Store Visit Measurement through the previous application flow will no longer be accepted. Please refer to the PDF materials or the help pages released on the implementation date and apply using the new flow.
  • Customers who applied using the previous usage flow before the implementation date can continue to use Store Visit Measurement after the implementation date, so no migration work is required.
  • Store Visit Measurement-related features in the Ad Management Tool are available only for Display Ads accounts.
