Reviews on expressions related to inferiority complex

Dear customer,

Thank you for using Yahoo! JAPAN Ads.

Yahoo! JAPAN Advertisement Editorial Guidelines prohibit expressions that deliberately emphasize a part of the human body to cause feelings of an inferiority complex" on ads. Recently, we found several ads that do not meet the guidelines. So we like to remind you about them while giving you some examples.

[Examples]
The following expressions that make audience think they are their inferiority complexes:

  • Because of my thick body hair, I never had the chance to go out with anyone. When I started using this hair removal product, I was asked for a date many times.
  • People around me didn't want to walk with me because of my plump body. After I used this diet product, everybody love to walk with me.
  • I wasn't confident because of the way people look at my thin hair. After using this hair growth product, I became confident.

We have a variety of characteristics, and physical characteristics are one of them. We think having a diversity of characteristics and knowing each other's characters are important. We believe that using physical characteristics as inferiority complexes causes discrimination, and we must eliminate it.
Therefore, we will strengthen our review of these expressions and will not deliver ads that contain these expressions.
